Social Calendar 2008

The time has come round again to consider our Social Calendar for 2008 and your Committee, having reviewed the response to the 2007 programme, has put together the following list of events for 2008. We hope that there is something for everyone; however we invite additional suggestions from anybody who feels that they may have a potential event that would appeal to the membership.

We do, of course, need to know how many people will be attending each event for planning purposes so please return the form as soon as possible. You will see that this is particularly important for certain events where we have already booked seats and we will allocate these on a “first come, first served“ basis. 

Please return the form to Brian Pieri by 13th April 2008 so we can present the final programme at the AGM.

1. Reunion/Annual General Meeting – April

This will be held on Friday 25th April at the Woodford Wells Club, Monkhams Lane, Woodford Green, Essex (as last year) from 7.30pm. See notice of AGM being circulated separately for full details.  

2. House of Lords Tour Friday 27th June 2008

Members will meet for lunch in St Stephen's tavern before arriving at the House of Lords at 14:30pm.  for a security check.  The tour will start at 15:30 pm and will be followed by tea in the Jubilee Cafe.

3. Guided London Walk   27th September 2008

This will be held in the Greenwich area. Meeting point and start time to be confirmed.

4.   Theatre Trip - October- November (Date to be determined)

We plan to arrange this years theatre to the Queens Theatre in Hornchurch.  Date/Time to be confirmed.

5.   Memorial Mass and Christmas Social

The annual Memorial Mass in memory of all former Staff and Pupils of the College will be celebrated this year at the 10-30am Mass on Sunday 14th December 2008 at the Catholic Church of Our Lady of Grace & St. Teresa of Avila, opposite the Bull and Crown, in Chingford.   The Xmas Social will be the same day.                                                                                                                                                                                                      

The Christmas Get-together this year will be a Buffet Lunch on Sunday 14th December 2008 at the Queen Elizabeth Public House, Forest Side, Chingford  starting at 12noon.
